Mexican lace agate cab ~
Here is a cabochon cut from old stock Mexican lace agate by my young son, Christopher. This particular species is sometimes called black and white lace agate. It features intricate fortification patterning in monotones, with a sparkly pocket of drusy crystal; the lack of color means it'll go wonderfully with ANYthing, opening up a world of design possibilities! There are a couple bullseyes, some sagenitic clouds edged with neat fortifications, and a thin vein of black agate that cuts through like a river. This smallish stone is cut with a very high rounded dome of 7mm, and a smooth gleaming polish
both front and back.
