Ocean jasper cab ~
Here is a cabochon of unusual ocean jasper, from Madagascar. This stone is a real eye catcher, with a pleasing pattern that's quite unique. The most attractive feature, by my lights, is the fine line fortifications wending around the stretched diamond shapes, some of which include tiny bullseyes, and the shallow sparkling crystal pocket at one side. And I like the contrast between the pink, peach and deep greens, and think it'll make an outstanding item of jewelry. With such a striking combination of colors and patterns, it's a beauty that's virtually impossible to ignore in even the plainest of settings. This stone has a low but well rounded dome of 4.5mm, a graceful designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
