Priday plume agate ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of collectibly rare Priday plume agate, from the Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. This enthralling stone was cut from some grand old stock which had been stashed away for decades in the cherished collection of an old gentleman rockhound, and I was extremely blessed to have been able to purchase a bag full of slices from his living estate. Oh for joy!!! This stone shows a variety of small, ornate plumes and moss suspended in translucent smoky black and deepest blue-gray agate that show them off beautifully. Everyone who sees this stone comments on how much it resembles an underwater scene. The colorful plumes look surprisingly similar to real corals, precisely like those you'd expect to see growing on a living reef, wafting in the current. It's truly an amazing treasure that anyone would be proud to own. This substantial cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
