Rutilated quartz cab ~
Offered here is a deluxe cabochon of rutilated quartz, from Brazil. This delightful example features water clear quartz with plenty of golden yellow rutile needles. Some of the needles are grouped in bunches, while some are more randomly oriented, adding much visual interest and an appealing depth. It does have a few of the typical 'fairy frost' inclusions, as seen in the pics, but it's gorgeous nonetheless. The stone has a generously high and well rounded dome of 9mm, and a brilliantly glassy 'wet ice' polish both front and back.
