brecciated tigereye cab ~
Offered here is a premium cabochon of brecciated tigereye, a very interesting material which hails from Africa. This stone has a great degree of chatoyant brilliance, with rows of strong shimmering flash in the classic golden yellow color we're all familiar with from more ordinary tigereye. I really like this brecciated material, and I'm sure you will too, as each 'piece' in the stone has its own orientation; just as one patch of chatoyance dims, another winks on as the stone is turned. It has the added gleam of darkly shiny hematite too, which you can catch only a hint of in the photos. Eyecatching, to say the least! The cab has a high and well round dome of nearly 6.5mm, and it is nicely polished both front and back.
