Variscite cab ~
Offered here is a large freeform cabochon of gemmy variscite, from Utah. This is a terrific example of fine old stock material that's tough to come by these days. It features delicate patterns of cool greens against a creamy pale beige matrix, appearing spiderwebbed in places, and at least partially translucent. I think the actual colors are something a computer monitor cannot do justice too, really, but the pics give you the idea; it's one nice stone! It'd be an excellent addition to any collection, or inspire you to create the perfect setting to turn it into wearable art. The stone has a very high rounded dome of nearly 7mm, and a superbly glossy polish both front and back.
