Offered here is a fancy cabochon of tiger iron, from Australia. This boldly marked stone features deep red jasper with several bands of flashy golden tigereye, framed by shiny bands of darkly metallic hematite cutting across the stone. In places, the hematite is quite intricate, forming webs around the patches of chatoyant tigereye, or streaking through it in waves. This eye-catcher is sure to look grand in either a gold or silver setting, so let your imagination soar! The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
