Wave Hill agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Australia's terrific new Wave Hill agate. This very special stone is an example of eye agate, with wildly fascinating patterns of orbs and eyes in shades of rosy red, pink, white and gray. Very nice fortification banding too, which is much more defined and pronounced on the backside. This one reminds me a lot of ocean jasper, though it has an appeal all its own. There are a couple healed lines present, but I'm finding that's quite typical of many Wave Hill agates, and the cab remains strong and sound, worthy of your best creations. The stone has a very high rounded dome of 7+mm, a designer teardrop shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
