Mexican lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a distinguished cabochon of Mexican crazy lace agate. This classic old stock material is a joy to work with, and this particular example illustrates why. It has beautiful fortification banding that frames some subtle bullseyes, and tiny bursts of sagenite at one end, very ornate and intriguing. Nice contrasting colors too. Many bands are translucent, giving the stone a dimension of depth and even a touch of parallax. It's a substantial stone with a high rounded dome of 6+mm, a graceful designer shape you'll have fun with, and a bright, glassy polish both front and back.
