Description
~ Priday plume agate cab ~

Offered here is a delightful cabochon of collectibly rare Priday plume agate, from the Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. This intriguing stone was cut from some grand old stock which had been stashed away for decades in the cherished collection of an old gentleman rockhound, and I was extremely blessed to have been able to purchase a bag full of slices from his living estate. Oh for joy!!! This stone shows intricate plumes in pink, peach and yellow, as well as slate gray, along with some fringes of greenish, yellowish, and burnt orange mosses. These lovely details are suspended in translucent pools of agate that show them off beautifully, and has a neat underwater scenic look that should make for an outstanding item of heirloom quality jewelry. Totally unique, even the surrounding matrix has nice coloration. It has a low but well-rounded dome of 4mm, (which is a might thinner than I prefer, but it works fine for the proportions of this stone), a designer 'catseye' shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.

Size: 50x20mm
Weight: approximately 29 carats
