Black tube agate cab ~
Offered here is a remarkable cabochon of black tube agate, combined with crystalline quartz, something you certainly won't see often. This unique stone features some of the most amazing tube structures I've ever seen, in very interesting colors too. There's neat gun-metal gray lace, edged with root beer brown or black, and the translucent 'crushed ice' quartz both reveals and hides the tubes in a most attractive way. A close look reveals that there's quite a lot going on in this example, including tubes that wind all around, lacy eyes, and several druzy areas, some of which are open, while others are within the stone. One tube is actually hollow, and you can see its small opening at the bottom of the main photo. Very KEWL!! The stone has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, a rectagular 'pillow' designer shape, and despite a scattering of typical teensy pinpoint voids, it has a fine glassy polish both front and back.
