Marra mamba cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of genuine Marra Mamba tigereye, a highly collectible rarity from Australia. This surprising material is, in the opinion of many, the most gorgeous tigereye in all the world. This example has a lovely pearly chatoyance in mostly blue, with touches of golden yellow, that roll and flash within the stone. At the larger end are a few ribbons of shiny metallic hematite alternating with ochre colored jasper. At the pointier end is more jasper blending into red, some scattered freckles, and a sub-metallic band, making this one very artfully composed. This cab has a well rounded dome of 7mm, a fun designer shape, and despite one small area of very slight undercutting, it has a fine polish both front and back.
