Description
~ Priday plume agate doublet ~

Offered here is a large and unique cabochon of collectibly rare Priday plume agate, from the Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. This enthralling stone was cut from some grand old stock which had been stashed away for decades in the cherished collection of an old gentleman rockhound, and I was extremely blessed to have been able to purchase a bag full of slices from his living estate. Oh for joy!!! This stone shows a variety of small, ornate plumes and moss edged with black, suspended in translucent blue-gray agate that shows them off beautifully. Those who've seen this stone have remarked at its uncanny resemblance to a fern garden, and they're right. The greenery really does look surprisingly similar to real plants! It's truly an amazing treasure that anyone would be proud to own. This substantial beauty has a high rounded dome of 7mm, and despite a few teensy negligible pits, the stone has a great glassy polish both front and back.

Size: 54x36mm
Weight: approximately 70 carats
