Sodalite cabs ~
Offered here is a matching trio of designer cabochons of Namibian sodalite, relatively new material that I like a lot. These stones feature deep, rich royal blue, with wisps of white; the large one also has some streaks of orange. Sodalite has sometimes been refered to as 'the poorman's lapis', due to the similarity in color. But this gemmy sodalite has a nice degree of translucence lapis lazuli cannot claim, and believe me when I tell you it looks absolutely stunning with cobalt blue beads! The stones have nicely rounded domes proportionate to their size, polished both front and back.
