Raspberry tube agate cab ~
Offfered here is an interesting cabochon of raspberry tube agate, from Mexico. This highly figured agate is a relatively new material, and I must say I like it a lot! It is mined at the Crown Of Silver psilomelane claims as an extra added bonus. The deep raspberry and pastel pink coloration is due to the infiltration of rhodonite, so the miner tells me. There are also several dark spots of psilomelane in the crystalline agate base, and some subtle tubes and fortifications for added appeal. The cab has a very high rounded dome of 7+mm, a strong designer 'shield' shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
